Kwalitee Issues

has_meta_yml

Add a META.yml to the distribution. Your buildtool should be able to autogenerate it.

manifest_matches_dist

Run a proper command ("make manifest" or "./Build manifest", maybe with a force option), or use a distribution builder to generate the MANIFEST. Or update MANIFEST manually.

Error: Cannot find MANIFEST in dist.

use_strict

Add 'use strict' (or its equivalents) to all modules, or convince us that your favorite module is well-known enough and people can easily see the modules are strictly written.

Error: WebService::GoogleHack, WebService::GoogleHack::Rate, WebService::GoogleHack::Search, WebService::GoogleHack::Spelling, WebService::GoogleHack::Text

prereq_matches_use

List all used modules in META.yml requires

Error:

  • HTML::LinkExtor
  • LWP::Simple
  • LWP::UserAgent
  • SOAP::Lite
  • Set::Scalar
  • Text::English
  • URI::URL

no_pod_errors

Remove the POD errors. You can check for POD errors automatically by including Test::Pod to your test suite.

Error: WebService/GoogleHack/GoogleHack.pm -- Around line 1375: Expected '=item *'

has_meta_json

Add a META.json to the distribution. Your buildtool should be able to autogenerate it.

proper_libs

Move your *.pm files in a directory named 'lib'. The directory structure should look like 'lib/Your/Module.pm' for a module named 'Your::Module'. If you need to provide additional files, e.g. for testing, that should not be considered for Kwalitee, then you should look at the 'provides' map in META.yml to limit the files scanned; or use the 'no_index' map to exclude parts of the distribution.

Error: GoogleHack/GoogleHack.pm, GoogleHack/Rate/Rate.pm, GoogleHack/Search/Search.pm, GoogleHack/Spelling/Spelling.pm, GoogleHack/Text/Text.pm

meta_yml_has_license

Define the license if you are using in Build.PL. If you are using MakeMaker (Makefile.PL) you should upgrade to ExtUtils::MakeMaker version 6.31.

use_warnings

Add 'use warnings' (or its equivalents) to all modules, or convince us that your favorite module is well-known enough and people can easily see the modules warn when something bad happens.

Error: WebService::GoogleHack, WebService::GoogleHack::Rate, WebService::GoogleHack::Search, WebService::GoogleHack::Spelling, WebService::GoogleHack::Text

consistent_version

Split the distribution, or fix the version numbers to make them consistent (use the highest version number to avoid version downgrade).

Error: 0.03,0.04

has_separate_license_file

This is not a critical issue. Currently mainly informative for the CPANTS authors. It might be removed later.

Modules

Name Abstract Version View
WebService::GoogleHack Is a Perl package that interacts with the Google API, and has some basic functionalities that allow the user to interact with Googleand retrieve results. It also has some Natural Language Processing capabilities, such as the ability to predict the semantic orienation of words, build word clusters, find words that are common to a pair of words etc. 0.04 metacpan
WebService::GoogleHack::Rate This package uses Google to do some basic natural language processing. For example, given two words, say "knife" and "cut", the module has the ability to retrieve a semantic relatedness measure, commonly known as the PMI (Pointwise mututal information) measure. The larger the measure the more related the words are. The package can also predict the semantic orientation of a given paragraph of english text. A positive measure means that the paragraph has a positive meaning, and negative measure means the opposite. 0.04 metacpan
